Dataphyte’s Midday Election Analysis
Dataphyte Foundation’s Mid-Day Analysis of the Osun Governorship Election...
Access to reliable data is essential for informed decision-making, citizen engagement, and holding leaders accountable. Yet, in many Nigerian contexts, public sector information is either inaccessible or not presented in a form that can be easily used by citizens, journalists, or civic actors.
This project gave us the opportunity to bridge those gaps by:
Promoting citizen demand for accountability through data-driven reporting.
Supporting media organizations to adopt and practice data journalism.
Providing machine-readable datasets to journalists and civil society organizations.
Initiating conversations on the establishment of state-level Open Data Portals (ODAPs).
