Dataphyte Foundation began with a simple belief—that better data leads to better decisions. Today, that belief has grown into a multidisciplinary organisation combining research, civic technology, journalism, and partnerships to strengthen accountability across Africa.

Strengthening Institutions and Accountability

Dataphyte expanded its work with state statistical agencies, journalists and civil society organisations, combining open-data systems, procurement investigations and institutional capacity development.

From Journalism to Data Infrastructure

The launch of Dataplex, the Statista partnership and growing media-development programmes marked Dataphyte's expansion into data infrastructure, knowledge distribution and professional capacity building.

Building a Data-Driven Institution

Dataphyte became fully operational, expanding its research, data journalism and public-finance analysis while developing partnerships and technical capabilities for evidence-based reporting.

The Beginning of Dataphyte
