Hyperlocal Data for Inclusive Growth

In Nigeria and across much of Africa, access to reliable, real-time data remains a major barrier to inclusive development. Too often, critical decisions are made using outdated, incomplete, or disconnected and disaggregated datasets. Many communities, especially at the grassroots, remain invisible in the numbers that shape public policies and development priorities.

Our Approach

Bridging the Data Divide
Dataphyte Foundation’s Access Approach addresses the lack of data by making high-quality, hyperlocal information accessible to everyone. This model ensures that no community is left out of the datasets that inform decisions.

Real-Time, Geolocated Insights
Through the Goloka platform and a trained network of field agents, Dataphyte collects real-time, location-specific data directly from the communities. This bottom-up approach ensures the data reflects on-the-ground realities.

Digitizing Public Information
We digitize and centralize public datasets across sectors—health, education, infrastructure, and finance—on open platforms like Dataplex and Anfani, making them usable for all stakeholders.

Expanding Data Horizons
Our open data hub covers over 15 sectors and hundreds of indicators, providing a broad yet detailed landscape of Nigeria’s development context for both national and subnational stakeholders.

Driving Change with Data
Dataphyte’s data platforms power decision-making for media, CSOs, and government agencies. With Goloka and Dataplex, we’ve supported dozens of partners in collecting critical data points that inform reforms and reporting.
