Artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure are reshaping governance, media, and public life across Africa - often faster than policy can keep pace. This pillar positions Dataphyte Foundation at the centre of that transition, building African-led AI systems and digital public infrastructure while advocating for governance frameworks that are ethical, inclusive, and responsive to local realities.
Our work has moved from experimentation to infrastructure-building for the public good: from AI-powered storytelling tools such as Nubia AI to research on Nigeria's Digital Public Infrastructure and e-government services, and active participation in shaping national and continental AI policy dialogues.
